100 Foreign Tourists Were Killed In Ten Years

The Norwegian nature is beautiful with its infinite fjords and mountains, spectacular rivers and waterfalls. But the wild nature of the country can be dangerous for the over-excited visitors. That is the reason why at least 100 foreigners who traveled to Norway on holiday never returned home alive in the last ten years.

TV2 has undergone news archive back in 2003 and mapped known holiday accidents in the past decade in which a total 100 foreign holiday makers  lost their lives. Car accidents and accidents at work are not included in the list.

Tourism Director Ole Warberg in Bergen says that to be a tourist in such a beatufil and wild nature is not harmless. Norwegian nature can have its challenges and you have to be prepared properly. But you can not put up fences everywhere, adds he.
