Westeros comes to Oslo

Last Sunday, the first episode of Game of Thrones Season 4 has crashed HBO with 6.6 million people turning in at the same time, according to Time. The broadcasting of Season 4 is the biggest news this year for fans all over the world, but there is more excitement for people in Norway-the Game of Thrones Exhibition.

Oslo has been chosen as one of the eight destinations of the trip of thrones. The exhibition will be held at Posthallen, from 26th of April to 30th, with free entrance to a luxuriant display. Costumes including cloaks, dresses and armors will be on show. Also artifacts like crowns, house banners and model dragons will be displayed. Visitors can also experience a 4D Oculus Rift “Ascend the Wall”. And the most important- get a selfie on the Iron Throne.

The fantasy drama series, adapted from George R.R. Martin’s fantasy novels has enjoyed a huge popularity in the Nordic ever since the first season. Probably that explains why Oslo is one of the two hosts for the exhibition in Europe, together with Belfast in the Northern Ireland. In two weeks, not only people from the country, but fans from the whole Europe are running to Oslo to attend the fest of thrones.
