The
magazine, which goes by the name N DEGREES has its main focus
on art, design, music, fashion, travel and lifestyle and is
Scandinavia’s first-born tablet based magazine. N DEGREES deals with
Scandinavian products combined with international style and
challenges the traditional magazine concept by working exclusively on
the digital platform.
It
questions how an editorial can work by including images that contain
GIF animations and slow motion effects and it produces fashion short
films. The new possibilities that this new magazine platform brings
are used to the full at N Degrees. The magazine is based in
Copenhagen and is founded by Dorothea Gundtoft and Christina
Følsgaard, who both have years of experience in the Danish and
international fashion and art industry.
Dorothea
is working as a stylist and fashion journalist for V Magazine, Vogue
Italia, Style.com and ELLE DK among others. She has also written the
book Fashion Scandinavia that was published by Thames & Hudson
earlier this year. In addition Dorothea Gundtoft was named Stylist of
the year 2013 at ELLE Style Awards in Denmark.
Christina
Følsgaard has been working with digital art and culture at places
like Arken – Museum of Contemporary Art and The National Gallery of
Denmark. She has also worked as a freelance fashion and culture
journalist for ELLE DK among others.
Christina
and Dorothea actually met on another magazine but before long
realized that they shared a dream of creating their own magazine.
With Dorothea strong signature within styling and Christinas strength
within cultural history they form the perfect team, and above all
they feel that fashion cannot live without art, films, music and the
life of inspiring personalities. This is the basis of their work.
