Record Number Will See Munch’s Works

Communications director of the National Museum Jean-Yves Gallardo expressed that there are still a lot of interest from foreign press and that they mark all the foreign visitors in museums

Anniversary exhibition “Munch 150” opened on 1st of June and has already received more than 165,000 visitors. But Gallardo expecting even greater demand as more Europeans take summer holidays in August. The goal is to pass 500,000 visitors before the exhibition is taken down on 13th of October.

The exhibition consists of 270 paintings and graphic works, and appear in two places: Works from the years 1882 to 1903 are at the National Museum, while works in from 1904 till Munch’s death in 1944 are on display at the Munch Museum in Toyen.
