While the Canadian teenage star Justin Bieber prepares for a three days concert in Norway’s capital Oslo from 16th to 18th April, young girls’ stories of self harm, illness and suicidal thoughts to get concert tickets or for meeting with Justin Bieber worries the organizers.
According to Aftenposten’s report, concert organizer Atomic Soul has received thousands of e-mails for inquiries about Bieber.
Eating disorders, suicide and self-harm
So far, there have been nearly 10,000 e-mails and hundreds of them include messages of bullying, eating disorders, suicide and self-harm in such severity that the organizers had to contact the Red Cross and Child Welfare.Â
– There are many fans who talk about committing suicide. So we have to take seriously, and we were of course afraid. Many of us are parents, says organizer Elisabeth Norheim to NRK.
On several occasions she even contacted with youngsters.
– In a few other cases I called personally the children, parents, child welfare in several municipalities and I have contacted the police in several cases, said Norheim.
