You Still Did not Miss Oslo Grieg Festival 2011

Oslo Grieg Festival is one of the Oslo Grieg Society's most important initiatives. The Oslo Grieg Festival 2011 is the tenth in the series, arranged in close cooperation with the National Museum in Oslo.

In 2011, the festival's emphasis will be on Grieg's relation to the Norwegian capital, where he stayed long periods of his life and where he wrote many of his most important pieces.Although being a small festival, the Grieg Festival presents several of the most important and well known performers of classical music in Norway today, together with young up-and-coming performers, and even the very youngest stars at the Children's concert.

The aim of the Oslo Grieg Society is to promote the music of Edvard Grieg, but the festival presents music from the whole classic repertoire, as well as newly written music in the yearly Grieg Society Composers' Competition Concert.
