International Migrants’ Day to Be Celebrated
As part of the 60th Anniversary celebrations, the IOM Mission in Oslo, Unit for Diversity and Integration (Municipality of Oslo) and a migrant communities’ network ERAS-group are organizing a big celebration of the International Migrants Day and a 60th Anniversary of IOM with the migrant communities in Norway. It will start with the presentation of IOM globally and in Norway (including films), following panel discussion with prominent youth activists, exhibition of IOM’s 60th anniversary posters (translated to Norwegian and about IOM programmes in Norway) and with big photographs depicting the history and the activities of migrant organizations in the country. Performances by artists representing various communities, ethnic food, and a lottery are also on the programme. The focus/theme of this year’s celebration is young people and families.
