The Norwegian national team was one of the favorites to win the golden medals. Home track and help of the audience should make the victory closer. However it is always the mistery who would win the game.
After the first loop surprizingly US national team headed the race followed by Norwegians and Ukrainians. With the efforts of Tiril Eckhoff, Norway came the first to the second exchange.
The third row made it clear that the final medals will be shared between Ukraine, who was the first at the exchange, Germany, France and Norway.
But almost ideal shooting of the leader of the French team, Martin Fourcade, and his extreme will to win didn’t let the chance to Simon Schempp from Germany to take the gold. Norwegian Terjei Bø had to use three extra patrons at the first shooting, so he came only on the third place.
