On Wednesday Norway has returned to the first place at Winter Olympics held in Russian Sochi after two Norwegian teams has won at traditionally Nordic sports – Classic skiing and Biathlon.
In the first part of the day Marit Bjørgen and Ingvild Flugstad Østerberg have finished first at Ladies’ Sprint Classic Skiing Final, overtaking pairs from Finland and Sweden.
Later at Biathlon’s Mixed relay leaders of Norwegian team Tora Berger, Tiril Echkoff, Ole Einer Bjørndalen and Emil Hegle Svendsen have won the competition making almost no mistakes. This victory made Ole Einer Bjørndalen the most successful biathlonist in the history of the sport having 8 golden 4 silver and one bronze medals won at Olympic Games.
Overall the score of the day is 9 gold, 4 silver, and 7 bronze medals for Norwegian team.
