Rosenborg Reaches to 22nd Championship in Norway

Rosenborg secured three points on Sunday night at home against Tromsø and kept the 8 point difference between the closest competitor, Vålerenga.

Rosenborg BK coach Nils Arne Eggen said he would “leave it to the youngsters to celebrate” after a 1-0 win against Tromsø IL. 68-year-old Eggen has won his 14th title with this victory.

The club is the most successful in Norway and has dominated Norwegian football since the start of the 1990s. Rosenborg's domestic title streak of 13 consecutive wins is second in the world only to the 14-year streak of Skonto Riga of Latvia, their runs both ending in 2005.
