Both Molde and Aalesund Farewell European Cups

After losing the first leg 3-2 at home Molde had to beat Stuttgart in Germany in order to qualify to the play-offs in UEFA Europe League. Molde was first to score and took the lead in the 41st minute by Emil Johansson. Four minutes into the second half Knut Olav Rindarøy scored the second goal for Molde increasing the lead to 2-0 which would take his team to the next stage. But Stuttgart got quickly back in the game and scored six minutes later with Pavel Pogrebnyak. Seconds before the final whistle Timo Gebhart scored another goal for Stuttgart to make the score 2-2.

The other Norwegian team Aalesund met Motherwell in Scottland today after a 1-1 draw at home last week. Motherwell started really fast by scoring already in the 3rd minute to take the lead and increasing to 2-0 in the 13th minute. Even though Aalesund had a few chances they couldn't manage to score and Jonathan Page decided the final score after scoring in the 89th minute, three minutes after entering the field for Motherwell. With these scores both Molde and Aalesund got eliminated from the UEFA Europe League.
