Hurricane Ole Hits Northern Norway

Power suppliers announce that they can not guarantee the expected hurricane does not affect the power supply.

– It is wise to be prepared. Have flashlight and radio, wood for the stove and candles, recommends the regional authorities according to NRK.

State meteorologist Justyna Wodziczko said to NRK that the water level will be extremely high and the hurricane will affect the daily life. Both the police and emergency authorities ask people to stay at home and secure their boats, and loose objects outside.

On Saturday morning the hurricane hit the areas near Lofoten, then goes upnorth toward Troms.
