Storm and heavy snow led the night train from Stavanger to Oslo jammed in Jæren at midnight on Saturday. The 115 passengers are still on board of the train. During the night, NSB has received assistance from Norwegian Emergency Organization- Norsk Folkehjelp.
– Our managers on the train reports that the passengers’ conditions are good. People have slept during the night, says communications consultant of Norwegian Railways- NSB, Håkon Myhre to NRK.
While the authorities are working to fix the problem, the local people are trying to help the passengers. Some of the people near Vigrestad station invited the passengers to their homes for breakfast and shower.
