The first reaction to Stoltenberg's proposal came from the government partner, the Centre Party's mayor Simen Bjoergen. He does not think that this is the best solution. Also Soviknes, Progress Party mayor of Os in Hordaland, react to the proposal
– Are you kidding me? This sounds totally “crazy”. Would not this be decentralization of drug trafficking?”, says he to VG.
Likewise, former drug addict Odd Arild Johnsen from Bodø believes government is too naive in the issues toward asylum seekers.
According to TV 2's report, Odd Arild has been traveling around the country to tell the drug addicts for last ten years and parents how dangerous drugs are, and he fears that Stoltenberg's proposal will make drugs more accessible in rural areas.
