After winning 1-0 in Norway Molde could only be eliminated by losing with 2 goals or more. When Baye Djiby Fall scored for Molde in the 14th minute the task became easier for Molde, but the home team would not give up this early. The equalizer came from Pāvels Bormakovs in the 30th minute and Jelgava tok the lead with Boriss Bogdaškins scoring during the stoppage-time of first half. When neither of the teams could score in second half game ended 2-1. The aggregate score of 2-2 made Molde advance with away goal to the third qualifying round in UEFA Europe League.

Molde will meet Stuttgart in next round where the first leg match will be played at Aker Stadion in Molde.

Another Norwegian team, Ålesund, will be starting the tournament from this round and will be competing with Motherwell from Scottland. Both Molde and Ålesund will play the first leg matches at home 29th July while secong leg matches will be played 5th August.
