The tightened entry restrictions that were introduced on 29 January 2021 will remain in effect for the time being, initially until 24 May, announces the Norwegian government.
“Even though we see that infection levels are declining in Norway, the serious infection situation in the world around us means that we still need strict entry restrictions for the time being. We are extending them until 24 May. The entry restrictions will remain in effect for the time being, and they will be lifted in line with the Norwegian Government’s reopening plan. The Norwegian Government is paying close attention to the situation in the world and will always ensure that the entry restrictions are adapted to the current situation. No one wants strict entry restrictions for longer than necessary”, says Minister of Justice and Public Security Monica Mæland (H).
