A recent research report from IMDi shows that Norway is better than Denmark and Sweden in integrating the immigrants into society. But there are still challenges, writes VG.
– Immigrants in Norway have higher employment, income and partly also education than in other countries in Scandinavia and the EU, said Bjorn Holden, group director of Inclusion and Diversity (IMDi).
The conclusion is based on figures from the OECD and Eurostat, and is presented in a recent report on integration in Scandinavia.
The report shows that the success of Norway is not necessarily result of a successful integration policy but stronger economic growth and employment. Also while Sweden has received most refugees in the past ten years, Norway received mainly migrant workers , who can easily join in job market.
