Norwegian Journalist Attacked in Russia

The bus with 9 journalists and human rights activists was blocked by three cars on the road from Ingushetia to Chechnya, writes “Novaya Gazeta”.

According to the victims, a group of masked people beat everyone who was inside and set fire on the bus. Some of the cameras and passports were still there. Journalists from Norway and Sweden suffered mostly. The attackers were wearing masks.

The victims called the police and an ambulance.

Journalists from Norway and Sweden and the bus driver were taken to the Sunzha central district hospital with injuries.

The trip was organised by The Committee for Prevention of Torture and their lawyer Dmitry Utukin writes in his twitter that the bus with the journalists was chased in the course of two previous days.
