Norway is the Cheapest Country in the World To Be a Student

According to the most recent research of the cheapest countries in the world to be a student, conducted by a travel money company FAIRFX, Norway appeared to be the most affordable place for students, writes Independent.

At the same time the University of Oslo official website provides the following information about the living costs in one of the most expensive cities in the world. Although the studying itself costs next to nothing, the prices on food and accommodation are pretty high. Total amount for 5 months is estimated at 50 000 NOK, which makes it 100 000 NOK annually. 

On the other hand, most of the student find it quite satisfactory with 70 000 NOK a year. Far from the cheapest, still much more affordable than studying in the UK with the annual amount of £21,000 (261 116 NOK), according to Independent. 

The Rating includes only the countries with universities within the top 200.
