Stephen Colbert, the host of Late Show, has invited his fans to invade Norway by sending messages to Prime Minister Erna Solberg to increase funding for girls’ education.
Colbert made his call in a promotional video for Global Citizen Festival in New York.
He emphasized Norway is a leader in funding education worldwide and if the country agrees to increase support for the global partnership for education then the rest of the world will follow.
The comedian even ate traditional Norwegian lutefisk to please the Norwegians.
Global Partnership For Education shared the following call to action from the video:
Become a Global Citizen and help Stephen use twitter to invade Norway, and help put 58 million girls in school. We’re asking Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg to increase funding for the Global Partnership For Education using the hashtag #educationfjorall. Right now, 58 million girls of primary school age are denied an education, and 62 million adolescents are without access to a secondary school.
