A total of 2,427,421 passengers traveled through Oslo Airport last month this year compared to 2,356,906 in same period of 2014, giving an increase of 3 percent.
Domestic traffic increased by 4.3 percent, while international traffic rose 2.8 percent.
– The poor Norwegian summer this year has led many Norwegians to book flight to southern regions in last minute. This increase is presumably a result of this and last year’s summer in Norway was one of the best in years, says Traffic Director at Oslo Airport, Jasper Spruit.
The three main routes from Oslo Airport is Trondheim, Bergen and Stavanger, while the largest overseas route is Copenhagen, followed closely by Stockholm.
