Norway Government Accuses Labor Party For Irresponsible Spending

Beside increased refugee quota for Syrians, Labor party congress adopted many new commitments such as free fruits, vegetables and school meals, fewer pupils per teacher and increased state funding for dentistry.

Støre said that the proposals can be funded by reversing the government’s tax cuts.

However, Solberg and Jensen rejects that this is enough. Talking to Dagens Næringsliv, two government tops accuse Labor Party for using state money irresponsibly.

– If they would cover this, they must retrieve it from somewhere else. Støre is considerably less concerned about economic policies than Jens Stoltenberg (his predecessor in labor Party), says Solberg.
