Only 12 percent of Norwegians believe immigration is bad for Norway, while 54 percent believe immigration is a positive. 31 percent of the respondents have no idea in the survey conducted by by Ipsos / MMI commissioned by Aftenposten and Dagens Nyheter.
Oslo People are most positive towards immigration. However, the proportion of participants who think immigration is detrimental to the country is 45 percent among FRP voters.
Reseracher Lars Vidar Gullstad thinks it is a healthy sign for the Norwegian society that the number of Norwegians who think immigration is bad is so low.
When it comes to integration policy, one of four believe that integration works well, while 37 percent say integration works very poor.
