In a note to the Norwegian Foreign Ministry, the Nigerian embassy in Stockholm writes that those who are affected by the consequences of deportation desire “to promote a serious protest against the inhumane treatment given these families.”
The embassy also wrote that they expect the Norwegian government to intervene forced returns of Nigerian parents and children, writes Bergens Tidende.
– It is the Foreign Ministry that will answer the note from the Nigerian authorities. Ministry of Justice is working together with the Foreign Ministry to prepare the response that will be sent to the Nigerian authorities, said State Secretary Joran Kallemyr from Ministry of Justice.
Last year Afghan authorities sent several letters of protest to the Norwegian authorities where they expressed concern for forced returns of Afghani families.
