Christian Democrats Want Bullying Ombudsman in Norway

NRK reported that 24 people complained their schools to the county governor in Oslo and Akershus because of bullying last year. Complaint number is record high.

KrF believes anti-bullying efforts must be strengthened. They want therefore have bullying ombudsman in all the counties. Today there are only four counties who have a bullying ombudsman and Oslo is not one of them.

– KrF wants a dedicated bullying ombudsman in Oslo, which can handle appeals of parents and children who experience bullying, says group leader in KrF, Erik Lunde to NRK.

Lunde believes the increase in bullying complaints shows that bullying is a persistent problem, despite the good prevention initiatives.

– I think a bullying ombudsman can help to strengthen the preventive work against bullying in Oslo schools, he said.
