Pegida Norge posted an article about attacks against Swedish mosques on Sunday.Â
The article was posted by Pegida Norge’s own Facebook administrator on Sunday night and was originally published at The White Voice Network, an American website dedicated to promoting white people, according to Aftenposten.
The article is entitled: “Sweden has had enough! Third mosque in two weeks burned to the ground in Stockholm!”. The author argues mosque fires in Sweden show “unity and strength,” and concludes that “The message is clear, Islam must be dispelled from white land!”
Pegida administrator share the article by commenting: “Good! ….”
The post aroused smixed reactions among Pegida’s Facebook followers. While some reacted against the post, some liked the post with comments such as “126 mosques in Norway! Forward with matches!”
After the external reactions, Max Hermansen, initiator and spokesman for Pegida Norway, removed the post. He also accused the administrator who shared the post of being drunk and stated he is strongly against the action, writes Aftenposten.
Supports terror against Muslims
Sondre Sæbjørnsen in the anti-racist organziation, Nye SOS Rasisme said to Aftenposten that Pegida administrator’s posts are supporting terrorism.
– It is very difficult to see this as anything other than support for terrorism against Muslims, he says.
Arson Attacks in Sweden
In last week, three arson attacks were perpetrated against mosques. Also on Christmas Day, five people were injured when a petrol bomb was thrown through the window of a mosque in Eskilstuna.
According to Swedish magazine Expo, at least a dozen confirmed attacks on mosques in Sweden in one year and a far larger number are believed to have gone unreported.
