On Monday night, a female night watchman (31) was killed with a knife at a psychiatric care center in Asker, Norway. A 15-year-old girl has admitted having killed the night watchman. The alleged murderer was living at the center for young people who require psychiatric monitoring and care.
Talking to Aftenposten, defender Cecilie Nakstad said she has acknowledged culpability for murder.
A review NRK did earlier this year showed that 102 people were killed by the mentally ill in Norway between 2003 and 2012.
Another survey Aftenposten has done shows that a further five people were killed by mentally ill persons in 2013 and to date in 2014.
