The Church City Mission: More Foreign Prostitutes in Norway

The law banning sex-purchase has been introduced in 2009, yet the number of foreign prostitutes increased in recent years, writes Dagsavisen.

– After the law was introduced, prostitution felt in Norway a little, but we have seen a steady increase since 2010. Our impression is that street prostitution is only increasing, and it is now up to almost the same extent as before the law was introduced, says Olav Lægdene from  the Church City Mission’s Nadheim center for women and men in prostitution.

An evaluation of sex-purchase law to be presented to Parliament in August.
