16-year-old Malala Yousafzai has attracted the world’s attention after she was attacked by the Taliban in October 2012. She was shot in head but survived.Since then, the Pakistani girl moved to England and fought for the right of children to education.
The organizing committee of Pakistan’s National Day in Norway (14 August committee) awarded her for her efforts last year, but she could not come to Norway. Then the former Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik and Conservative politician Aamir Sheikh hand over the price in Birmingham.
The 16-year-old will have a tight schedule in Norway, writes Osloby. She will, among others, meet parliamentary president Olemic Thommessen, Prime Minister Erna Solberg and Foreign Minister Berge Brende. Malala will also participate in networking arrangement between Norway and Pakistan at the Grand Hotel on June 14.
Additionally, she will meet business people in connection with her own fund – Malala Fund – to invest in children’s education.
