Yesterday’s snowfall has made a record early start of the ski season in Tromsø. At 11:30 yesterday, the first skiers were seen on the trails of Tromsø.
– Last year, the ski season started on 24 October and lasted until 16 May. This confirms Tromsø’s position as Norway’s best winter city, says project manager of Tromsø Marka project , Henrik Romsaas, to Langrenn.com .
Several of the Meteorological Department’s monitoring stations in Troms measured 10 to 15 centimeters of fresh snow, and locally it may be even more.
