Oslo municipality agrees to close the car traffic on both Karl Johans gate and Akersgata.
The decision was taken after the Parliament requested it for safety.
Conservative party’s council leader Stian Berger Røsland opposed the proposal and said to NRK that the plan is going to be very challenging for businesses and entrepreneurs in the area.
– We are going to enter into dialogue with the entrepreneurs to find arrangements to ensure purely practical things like deliveries. We will try everything we can to minimize problems, says council leader.
