After long debates in coalition member SV’s national congress at
the weekend, it was adopted that all women should have the right to ultrasound
from the tenth week of pregnancy.
The proposal meets sharp criticism from KrF leader Knut Arild
Hareide.
– We have seen the consequences of this in Denmark. There are
nine out of ten children with Down syndrome sorted out, says Hareide to NRK.
Christian Democratic Party leader believes the decision could lead
Norway a step on the way to becoming a sorting society.
