We are Becoming Carnivores

The report by the Directorate of Health and Norwegian Institute for Agricultural Research shows that fruit consumption goes down, while the consumption of meat makes a record increase in the two years. 

According to the report, From 2010 to 2012, fruit consumption went down unexpectedly by 30 percent. On the other hand, wholesale consumption of meat per person significantly increased from 53 kg to 77 kg. Afterwards, in 2009 and 2010 there was small reduction on consumption, but in 2011 it reached 75 kg per person.

The decrease in consumption of whole milk and skimmed milk is also continuous, while consumption of low fat milk types are unchanged in recent years. Consumption of milk cream has been stable for a long time, but it increased slightly in 2011.
