The disclosure of that horse meat has been mislabeled and sold like cattle have received much attention in Norway recently.
According to siste.no, there is a great attention to the meat among the Norwegian customers.
Meat providers confirm that the influx has been especially significant over the past few days.
– In particular, interest has been high in Oslo, but also elsewhere in the country. It’s a bit special that a scandal has made it popular, says manager Ståle Fatland.
Restaurant owner and food writer Andreas Viestad also confirms that horse meat has become the most popular appetizer at his restaurant at Bislett.
