The party will require mobile operators and Internet service providers to offer a free porn filter.
– We put forward our draft program for free internet filter. The reason why we propose this is that Norwegian children are at the top when it comes to use of online porn, says justice spokesperson of the Christian Democratic Party, Kjell Ingolf Ropstad.
Talking to Norwegian daily VG, KrF politician suggested they should look at Britain, which has taken the lead on the initiative against children’s use of online porn by reminding that British prime Minister David Cameron launched a major offensive against online pornography to protect children.
Previously, Barnevakten – an organization that provides advice about children and media use- reported that they receive many inquiries from parents who have children from 11 to 16 who need advice because kids have developed a dependency on online pornography. Norwegian children are the European leaders when it comes to porn surfing on the web, according to a European study in 2011.
