In one year, Norway will lead the political work and organize several major meetings for European participants in Norway and Brussels.
Norwegian Research Council International Department Director Kristin Danielsen says they are ready to offer good Nordic hospitality. Danielsen shall lead the international meetings and is the first woman in that position.
After Norway takes over the presidency from the current holder, Turkey, a great opening conference will mark the opening in Trondheim in late August. In addition to the three major meetings in Oslo, Bergen and Brussels, Norway will also lead to a series of smaller meetings during the period.

EUREKA’s Eurostars Programme is the first European funding and support programme to be specifically dedicated to research-performing SMEs. Eurostars stimulates them to lead international collaborative research and innovation projects. The Eurostars mission is “To support R&D-performing entrepreneurs, by funding their research activities, enabling them to compete internationally and become leaders in their sector.”
