Extreme Weather named as “Frida” continues to affect the county of southern Norway, Buskerud. Meteorological Institute expects up to 100 millimeters of rainfall, and issues further flood warnings for the area till Friday.
According to the local newspaper, Drammen Tiden, police has evacuated several streets where there were landslides and the municipality has established a shelter in the town hall. Some of the railways and roads in the region were destroyed with the rainfall.Also, In Mjøndalen dozens of people were evacuated by boats. Almost half of Mjøndalen center was under water.
The experts from Norwegian Meteorological Institute, on the other hand, expect a more stable and cloudy weather after Firday in Southern and Eastern Norway.
