TV2 wrote that the terrorist attacks on 22 July brought right-wing, anti-Islamic and racist remarks on the agenda. After the trial of Anders Behring Breivik has started on Monday this week, such utterances have flared up again on several Internet forums. Especially some anti-immigrant organizations like Stop the Islamisation of Norway (SIAN) attracted more symphatizers and support from the right-wing circles.
Chairman of SIAN, Arne Tumyr said the number of their members has increased since the trial has started, and that the organization has received anonymous donation of 50.000 NOK (almost 9.000 USD).
The organization has over 10.000 fans on its Facebook page, but it is not clearly known how many members they formally have.Â
Talking to Dagsavisen, Tumyr says they are not a racist organization and against terrorist Breivik, but they agree on some of Breivik’s views.
