The house includes rooms for Norwegian students in the Paris area, and has been closed since Autumn 2009 due to renovation work.
The international student city of Paris was created as a project for peace and understanding between nations after the First World War. The student village consists of about 40 houses from different countries. Norway's house, which was completed in 1954, represents a small piece of Norway in a highly international environment both through the house's Nordic architectural style and its cultural outreach activities.
