Høyre criticized the newspaper by publishing an article on its website. The party said they have lowered or removed the property tax in many Høyre-controlled local authorities, while 6 of 81 Conservative-controlled local authorities have introduced a property tax for the last four years.
In the article it was also written that the average tax pay of inhabitants in the Høyre-municipalities is NOK 500 property taxes, while the average is NOK 2200 in other municipalities.
On the other hand, FrP suggested they are not responsible for the high property tax but Liberals (Venstre) and Christian Democrats (KrF) together with the Labour Party have worked to increase the property tax.
