The man died later in the evening after having taken to hospital. So far police have no suspects and no clear motive in the case. But according to the witnesses the assailants ran by a dark station wagon car after shooting the victim.
-I am a bit shocked, even considering that this came simultaneously with the events in Oslo, one of the neighbors to the murdered man says to Stavanger Aftenbladet. The woman said that two assailants came right into the basement apartment and fired a shot to the victim's head at close range. They were unrecognizable because they were masked and dressed in “army clothes”, said she.
