UN Foundation Board members Gro Harlem Brundtland, Kofi Annan and Ted Turner will attend the opening session of the “New African Connections” High-level Conference, which will take place from 3:00 – 4:00 pm in the Marble Hall at the offices of DnB NOR Bank in Oslo. The opening session will also feature an introduction by HRH Crown Prince Haakon.
Ted Turner will discuss public-private partnerships and the basis of the UN Foundation, Gro Harlem Brundtland will discuss innovation in health and its application in UN Foundation campaigns (including the mHealth Alliance and the Pledge Guarantee for Health), and Kofi Annan will discuss the African perspective on health issues and innovation in the field, as well as the present need on the continent.
