Returned Asylum Seekers Suing Norway

Norway had sent back 360 people for asylum processing in the country, while the European Court of Human Rights has ruled that the asylum seekers' human rights are systematically violated in Greece. Three of these are now a lawsuit against the Immigration Appeals Board (UNE) and the state.

– “Norway has returned a large number of people to Greece, even though they should have known – and we believe in so far as they knew – that the conditions there were not good enough to return. This is something Norway simply needs to clean up,” said legal advisor Andrew Furuseth in NOAS Norwegian Organization for Asylum seekers.
