The 40-year-passenger claiming to have a bomb tried to get into the cockpit, but he was overpowered by other passengers and the plane landed safely. The man was arrested after Flight 1754 from Oslo landed at Istanbul's Ataturk International Airport. Police said he did not have any explosives, the National Turkish news agency reported.
The hijacker motivated by rejection
The hijacker, according to the newspaper Voss Hordaland have lived in Voss in recent years. It was revealed the man has had mental problems and had been battling with Norwegian immigration authorities for residence.
