Winter Comes to Oslo

While the northern and most high parts of the country have already experienced the first sights of winter, meteorologists warned that Oslo area will have winter weather today.

According to Norwegian daily, VG, Meteorologist, Mariann Aabrekk, encouraged the people living in Oslo to get out of bed early and get to high areas of the city to see the first snow fall of the year on Thursday.

Aabrek told that it is possible to have one centimeter snow fall on high mountains of Norway but temperatures will rise up to three degrees above zero during the day.

Meteorologists think snowfall can lead to slippery roads in the morning and at night, and they encourage drivers to be careful and to use winter tires if they must drive in areas where there may be snow.
