The vast majority of elders needs to get good care. Nevertheless, there are elderly people who do not get the help they need. Therefore, the Government decides to strengthen elderly care in Norway.
The government's aim is to ensure full coverage of nursing home in Norway by 2015. Moreover, they will propose to grant commitment to the 2000 nursing home beds or care places in 2011 as well as to remove restrictions in the grant scheme for nursing homes.
In this frame, 12,000 new employees will be recruited in nursing and care services till 2015.
