The introduction of the EU’s highly controversial data storage directive in Norway is discussed in a meeting organized by Stopp Datalagringsdirektivet(Stop Data Storage Directive Platform)today in Oslo.
Stopp Datalagringsdirektivet is a bipartisan independent campaign organization that aims to disseminate information about data storage directive’s negative consequences for privacy, and prevent the directive is taken into Norwegian law. The organization has started as a wide campaign on the web and so far, over a thousand people from politicians and diverse groups in the society participated the petitions on the website.
Today’s meeting will host politicians, IT people and diverse professionals to discuss the outcomes of the directive and also it will be an establishing meeting for Stop Datalagringsdirektivet.
