The Ministry of Education opens 1,600 new places for in-service education of teachers. The ministry will use 117 million for establishing a permanent system for continuing education for teachers, and giving teachers and schools the skills they will need.
The system of continuing education will provide participants with further training in various subjects such as Norwegian, mathematics, English and Sami language. In addition, there will be other subjects offered according to specific local and national needs.
