Car curling in Norway

In Norway people play curling not only with familiar stones, but with… cars! The new mini-tournament was held in one of the race tracks recently.

The rules of the competition is simple: the track is filled with ice and is marked according to standard rules. Then the car is speeding up, and 50 meters before to the blue circle, which is called “home”, the driver presses the brake so the machine turns into a sort of uncontrollable stone for curling.

The winner is the team whose “stone” is closer to the center of the circle.

You can easily knock out competitors’ “Iron horses” from “home”, although there is a risk to overdo it. To prepare for the next tournament, participants didn’t leave the car services.
