2400 Statoil Employees to Lose Their Jobs

During the past year, Statoil has experienced tremendous downsizing process and 1,950 employees had to lose their jobs. Now, the company face an equally large downsizing. Cut Proposals will be presented in May, writes Dagens Næringsliv.

During the next month, several expert groups will submit their analysis of a process that was initiated last fall. Statoil confirmed that the company is now considering up to 20 percent cut in the technical area, where 12,000 engineers are employed.
